My counseling practice is informed by my values: connection, curiosity, empathy, and authenticity. I prioritize building relationships as a way to establish trust, eliminate shame, and cultivate growth and healing. I engage with openness and interest, emphasizing your role as the expert on your life, and join with you in your struggles and successes. I create an environment that is non-judgmental, collaborative, and rooted in compassion. Lastly, I bring my true self to the counseling space to create safety for you to do the same. I believe that everyone deserves to have a sense of their own inherent worthiness and the opportunity to break patterns that no longer serve them.
I work with adolescents, adults, and couples who are facing individual, relational, and systemic challenges. I specialize in working with people experiencing anxiety, depression, anger, low self-esteem, life transitions, grief, loss, and trauma, as well as identity, relationship, and parenting issues. I also have interest in working with individuals with late-diagnosed (or suspected) neurodivergence, as well as disability and chronic illness. Though I use an attachment-focused and neuroscience-informed framework, I am an integrative counselor and let your unique strengths and goals guide my treatment approach. Principles of social justice and cultural humility are foundational to my practice, and I strive to provide an inclusive and affirming space. I am trained in EMDR and have advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy.
